NJ Immigration Trust Directive

We also want to highlight the protections provided by the New Jersey Immigration Trust Directive. This directive ensures that New Jersey police officers, including our University Police, cannot participate in federal immigration enforcement efforts, including raids, detaining individuals based solely on immigration status, or inquiring about a person’s immigration status except in specific criminal investigations. If you or someone you know on campus is contacted by an ICE officer, please contact University Police immediately.

No matter the challenges ahead, we will continue to uphold our mission of providing access to education, ensuring a sense of belonging, and creating opportunities for all.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to any of the above offices for support. We will keep you informed as developments unfold and remain steadfast in our commitment to our students and community.

With Care and Support,

Dr. S
